Tom Hertzberg is a Managing Director responsible for business development in the life sciences and broader healthcare market, including sourcing and executing investment opportunities.

Prior to joining Hercules Capital, Tom spent 15 years in a variety of roles at Silicon Valley Bank including sales and portfolio leadership positions. Most recently, Tom led a team within SVB’s Life Sciences and Healthcare practice, overseeing coverage of 24 states and 700 client relationships. Over his career, he has deployed several billion dollars of debt capital across a broad range of private and public technology and healthcare companies.

He’s also a member of the Finance Committee for the Colorado Bioscience Association, which provides networking and development opportunities to professionals in Colorado’s thriving bioscience sector. Tom graduated with a BSBA from the University of Denver.
